
About the Olympiad
KIPhO is a unique educational olympiad that is largely dedicated to experimental physics using computer technologies for data processing and visualization.
Olympiad Rounds
The Olympiad consists of three rounds:
- Individual experimental round. Solving one large problem requiring computer-based processing of obtained data.
- Individual theoretical round. Solving one large problem requiring computer-based processing of obtained data.
- Team round. Joint solution of theoretical and experimental problems requiring computer data processing.
Target Audience
- Prize winners and winners of the final stage of national physics olympiads for schoolchildren in countries of near and far abroad;
- Members of national teams from different countries in physics at other international olympiads: APhO, IPhO, IZhO, etc.
How to form a team?
Two age groups:
- Junior (not older than 16 years old as of the olympiad start date)
- Master (not older than 19 years old as of the olympiad start date)
Participants must not be university students.
Possible team compositions:
- Junior League (Junior + Junior)
- Master League (Master + Master)
Individual scoring in each age group based on the sum of points from the first and second rounds of the Olympiad
Team scoring in each league based on the results of the third round of the Olympiad
